Timothy Leroy Lincecum was born June 15, 1984 a pitcher for the San Francisco Giants in Major League Baseball. Lincecum has won the last two National League Cy Young Awards, and was the first second-year player to win the Cy Young since Dwight Gooden and Bret Saberhagen won both in 1985.
Lincecum made his professional debut 26 July 2006, with Salem Keizer Volcano Saga Inst Vancouver Canadians, pitching one inning and striking out all three touches he met.
Lincecum was selected by the Chicago Cubs in 48: e round of the 2003 MLB draft, but not sign.During his brief minor league career, he was often cited as the top pitching prospect in the Giants organization.
Lincecum continued his dominance in the league by starting 5-0. His strikeouts piled up quickly and was on top of the major leagues in the early season.
